3D teaching materials are locked behind software skill
A teacher who wants students examining a rotatable 3D model of an artifact, a fossil, or a mechanical part usually has two options: find a pre-made model that may not match the exact specimen in front of the class, or ask students to learn CAD or sculpting software first. Neither fits a lesson plan built around a single class period, and the software barrier alone rules the second option out for most grade levels.
